UK Webcomix Thing 2010

As you know, on the 27th March 2010, I'm going to the UK Webcomix Thing once again. For those who don't know, it's a comic book convention for small/independant press and web comics. I've gone every year and it's always a blast.

I'm keeping stock small this year as the focus is going to be on promo rather than profit, but I will have things for sale. I'll have some comic books leftover from previous years, a selection of badges (old and new) and an exclusive book featuring brand new comics from Edd Egg, Clive and Nigel (the badniks from Minions - Sonic 2) and The Dexter Dimension.

I'll be giving a panel as well on comics and animation which'll be interesting and I'm totally not nevous about... gulp...

I'm also sharing my table with the guys from Cakebomb (who do various funny videos on YouTube as well as the rather popular ASDF toons).

So if you can, please do come down on March 27th and say hi!

Now that Joe The Dinosaur is finished, I'm going to focus on getting these comic books ready along with a bunch of promotional material for the Thing 2010. So it's going to be quiet on the animation side of things for a little while but I'll show off previews of the comics when they're ready.

Three pages for a new Edd Egg comic has been completed. One more page to go and then I'll start work on the Minions comic.

Not sure. I'd like to one day compile all the Edd Egg comics into one book for I can't say if and when that'll happen. So, there's no guarantee.

The Edd Egg pages are done, and I've designed a new business card for the site. I've received the badges for selling and I have a good friend working on some Edd Egg head soft toys which'll be sweet! I'm ready to start work on the Minions comics and then all I have left to do are the Dexter comics and any leaflets/promo stuff I can whip up. The Thing is on the 27th of March so I've only got 4 weeks to go to get everything done!

Hmm I'm tempted to ask my sister to go to the Comic Thing and get me some swag. Hopefully she is in a favorable and if she is then can I trust her not to spend the cash for merch on one of those blasted topshop hats I keep seeing around? God there are so annoying they remind me so much of the Smurfs!

The Minions comics are finished! Next, I need to make 4 pages worth of Dexter comics. Getting there!
